With Parental Advisory, we highlight the continued objectification of women in the rap industry. Despite all the advances in women’s rights, women continue to be hyper-sexualized and often reduced to body parts in today’s rap. This project seeks to provoke our attention to what has become so normalized by photoshopping album covers and juxtaposing men in the position of sexualized objects.
