Animal Objects highlights the suffering inflicted on animals in laboratory testing conducted by the cosmetic industry. Each photoshopped image uses a person as a stand-in for the suffering animal, who is them self serving as a stand in for a human being. The specific experiment, its devastating impact on the subject, and the existence of both alternative ways of testing product safety and of numerous cruelty-free cosmetics are detailed, serving to underline the deplorable nature of this continuing practice.
