i am not surprised by this we share most of our DNA with apes. naturally we would have the same behaviors. We fight we make up and so do apes. in ancient times humans thought animals were put on earth for them to eat and that they had no soul or emotions, this is not true animals are more like us than we think. by studying animals we can understand our self better. his experiments were relevant and his explanations clear.

It does not surprise be that animals are so similar to humans and vice versa. Human and animals share many of the same emotions and actions which is very interesting to see. Animals are much more complex than we think which is very interesting. His examples and experiments clearly demonstrate that animals have moral behaviours. This was a very interesting and eye opening video.

I knew that animals like chimpanzees and human were not that far apart, but some experiments did impress me. The one that surprised me the most was when the elephant worked together to get the food. One elephant even found a way to work less. In general, I was aware of the fact that animals shared a lot in common like feelings and behavior with humans. Also, Frans De Waal demonstrate the concept of morality in a very clear way.

What I found impressive is that chimps reconcile after conflict. Through research it has been found that they are able to care for others and have a sense of fairness, which further links them to humans. Also, what I found interesting was the role that synchronization plays in the mechanism of empathy. People who have a lot of yawn contagion are highly empathic and people who have problems with empathy (ex. Autism) do not have yawn contagion, because they activate the same areas in the brain.

It was not surprising to learn that we share many of the same behaviors with many animals, such as chimpanzees and apes. As Franz de Waal had demonstrated in some of his experiments, both humans and animals can be compassionate, have morals, and can even forgive and show empathy. This video was quite impressive and informative.
